Head lice removal can be quite unpleasant and difficult to do, especially if you are doing it manually and without the aid of lice treatments.

• To remove lice and nits, you will need a fine-toothed comb (specifically designed for lice and nits removal), clean towels, apple cider vinegar, and tweezers.
• The first step is to wash the hair thoroughly with a shampoo. If the hottest water that you can tolerate. Scrub the scalp thorough paying particular attention behind the ears and near the neck area. Towel off the excess water.

Start from one side of the head until all areas are fully inspected. Focus on the area above and behind the ears and at the nape part, as these are the places where lice would prefer to lay their eggs on.

The last step in head lice removal is to have a damp towel nearby where you can put the nits and lice (if you found one) as you remove them.

After the nits and lice are removed, dispose the towel immediately. Do not let it remain in your house. It is even advisable to dispose of the towels immediately but if you don’t want to… make sure to soak your towel in freshly boiled water.

All bedding and clothes that came in contact with a person infested of head lice should be sterilized and cleaned thoroughly.
